A MERRY JUNKIN’ CHRISTMAS
‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
AND ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE
THE JUNK WAS ALL PILED
EVEN MY MOUSE
THE FRENCH STOCKINGS WERE HUNG BY THE CHEMINÉE WITH CARE
IN HOPES THAT BÉBÉ de SANTA SOON WOULD BE THERE
AND I WAS NESTLED ALL SNUG IN MY BED
WITH THOUGHTS OF “JUNK” DANCING IN MY HEAD
THE CATS WERE CURLED ALL UP IN A BALL
WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN
I HEARD NOISE IN THE HALL
I SPIED SANTA WITH BAGS OF WIRE & RUST
AND SOMETHING FRENCH WITH WHITE & CRUST
COULD IT BE A SANTO, OR EVEN A “TOWER”
OR A LOVELY BUNCH
OF LAVENDER FLOWERS.
OR MAYBE A TICKET TO PROVENCE OR FRANCE
I’D SNEAK A PEEK, TO TAKE THAT CHANCE!
WHEN WHAT TO MY WANDERING EYES SHOULD APPEAR
BUT A CUTE LITTLE FRENCHMAN
WITH PERFECTLY SHAPED EARS
AND FOLLOWING BEHIND HIM WERE EIGHT REINDEER
WHEN HE LOUDLY EXCLAIMED
GET THE H*** OUTTA HERE!
NOW DASHER , NOW DANSEUR, NOW PRANCER AND RENARDE
ON COMETE, ON CUPIDON, ON DONNER AND BLITZEN
FROM THE EAVES OF THE ATTIC
TO THE BASEMENT STAIR
BRING ME SOME “JUNK”
THAT I CAN SHARE.
HE RAN TO HIS TRAINEAU &
AND I HEARD HIM EXCLAIM
AS HE DROVE OUT OF SIGHT
HAPPY JUNKIN’ TO ALL AND
TO ALL A” GOOD (JUNK) NIGHT”

Dear Decorator to the Stars: Your blog is my place to go when I want to steal time for myself!
I would be selfish to the max and would want you to do a re-do in my living room! To reclaim the couch from the doggies and make it oh-so comfy for hubby and me! Shabby and chic! Oh-la-la!
Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night!
Oh my I would love to have a firkin(just bought my first one from you).
I also love anything primitive like old bobbins, painted wooden bowls, stacked boxes & old kitchen utensils.
I just moved in my inlaws house(my MIL just passed away). So I am redecorating every room one by one just the way I always dreamed of. The house is 60+ years old. My husband grew up in this house.
I am impressed what you do. Just read your blog. You do amazing work!!
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!
Joann
I'd also love to hit the lottery so I could buy tons of toys for homeless kids that won't get much, and feed them all a good dinner. And also help an immediate family member of ours who lost there home and don't have money to get their 3 children something from Santa.I was able to help a little but not as much as I wanted to. And for myself one of those beautiful shabby fireplaces that you do.(will buy onein the spring possibly)Saved the picture and love looking at it.
Love your primitizing.
Brenda (Bubbasmom)
I would love just anything at all.......Merry Christmas. Susan
"If I could have one wish....." (LOL, remember the Steve Martin SNL skit??) Hmm, lets see. I'd love for someone to come in and do my basement remodel for me. (New laundry room, bathroom, craft room, and media room) If we're really dreaming, I'd like to be about 3 inches taller. On a more practical note, I'd love a nice big vintage sign for my kitchen.
If the perfect prize means two of my wishes will come true, I will wish for…no cancer in the world. Quite a number of my friends and acquaintances and people I knew had to prematurely left the world of the living or have been severely suffering from cancer.
The other wish is for myself. I truly and greatly wish for A ROBOT MAID.
Thanks for dropping me a note about the giveaway.
I love your taste in decorating.
Merry Christmas from Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Dinner with Dolly Parton...in Paris!! Happy happy holidays! Stan
